Book and Supply Hub-Returning a Book

How to return a book from a student via book and supply hub. (Read time 2 min.)

There are a two main ways to return a book in VSware for a student. One method allows you to return by book title and the other method allows you to return by student.

To return it using the book title, go to School and select the Book and Supply Hub. Search the book and select the eye icon. This will give the drop down of all the books being borrowed out. You can utilize the mini search bar to scan the bar code of the specific book (if you created bar code stickers when handing them over). Otherwise, one can scroll until they find the student they are looking for. Select the eye icon on the specific book you want to return and then choose the return arrow under actions to return item. You can then select the condition the book was in when it was returned and validate return. This method is ideal if students return the books in their classrooms and the teachers bring in the stack of books.

To return a book based on the student, search the student in the search bar and select the student's profile. Then select booklist inventory on the left menu. Click the eye icon on the specific book you want to return and then choose the return arrow under actions to return item. You can then select the condition the book was in when it was returned and validate return.
Please also note that on this page, you can select multiple books and then choose the bulk return button instead of individually selecting the eye for each book. This method is best used when a student comes in themselves and is returning all their books at once.

The video below shows how to return books for both methods.
