Term Assessment Performance Report

Track exam results via these reports. This guide is intended for Admin. (Read time: 2 minutes)

We’ve recently updated our top menu navigation (July 2024). We’re currently updating our user guides to reflect these changes, so thank you for your patience while we work on this. The new menu is user-friendly, so you shouldn’t experience significant disruption. If you need help locating specific items in the new menu however, watch our quick videos for admin users here, and for teachers here.

The term assessment performance screen takes what was once the 'Results Cross tab' and makes it much easier to read, navigate and customise. It allows you to view a student's academic performance in one report.

Note: Secretaries and principal users can see all reports by default, however teachers can only see a report called Class Assessment Performance by default.

If you would like a teacher (for example a teacher with extra responsibility in this area) to be able to access the other three reports: Term Assessment Performance, Subject Performance and Student Performance, they must be given the permission 'Allow teacher access to assessment reporting feature' in Users and Groups.

This will give them access to data on all students in the school, not just data of those they teach.

Principal and Secretary View of Term Assessment Performance

  • Go to Assessments > Academic performance > Term assessment performance
  • Start by selecting a base class, an exam and some additional criteria such as SEN record, study level, CAO points, study level, extra fields and average (the average option is only available to Principal and secretary users, not teachers).
  • Admin users will be able to see a visual representation of the subject average for a particular exam.

Tip: By hovering over a particular subject you can see the specific exam average.

  • Scroll further down the page to view the table. Here you can edit the table to add or remove items like SEN record, extra fields, CAO Points or base class. 'Edit Table' on the top right which allows you to toggle the columns you would like to appear on the report.

Tip: If the student has a SEN record, hover over the purple dot to read it.

Note: Term Assessment Performance Report can now show grade only

In some cases, schools create Term Assessments that do not require a percentage and only require a grade to be recorded. We have changed the Term Assessment Performance report so that the grade result can now be shown.
If you go to Assessments > Academic performance > Term assessment Performance (as an example) > Choose the academic year > Choose a class & exam > 'Go' - You now have the option to display percentage only, or display grade only. This can be toggled on/off within the edit table feature.

Exporting to PDF and Excel

Users can also export the results to PDF or Excel. If you select specific students using the boxes on the left, then only those students will be included in the export.

Teacher View of Term Assessment Performance

The teacher view of term assessment performance is much the same as the principal and secretary view, however teachers cannot see the subject average. The CAO points column will only show points calculated for the specific subjects that the teacher is assigned, not a total of all subjects the student has taken.
