We’ve recently updated our top menu navigation (July/August 2024). We’re currently updating our user guides to reflect these changes, so thank you for your patience while we work on this. The new menu is user-friendly, so you shouldn’t experience significant disruption. If you need help locating specific items in the new menu however, watch our quick videos for admin users here, and for teachers here.

The class away screen gives you the ability to mark an entire base class as away for a full day, partial day or multi-day. You can also mark multiple base classes as away at once.

Step 1

Go to the 3 lines > Substitution > Class Away > Actions > Record Class Away

Step 2

Click the drop down under ‘Which Class Is Away’

Select the relevant class. You can also select multiple classes at once.

Step 3

Select the type of absence, e.g. a full day, part day, multi day etc. If you select a part day, you will be prompted to select which periods the class will be away for. You can also add a note at this step.

Step 4

Click save > a new row for each class should appear in the screen below.
